]]> Comment on Indian Buraeucracts To Get Fat Checques But …… by ramakrishnan http://www.byapaar.com/indian-buraeucracts-to-get-fat-checques-but/#comment-26 ramakrishnan Fri, 28 Mar 2008 03:31:07 +0000 http://www.byapaar.com/indian-buraeucracts-to-get-fat-checques-but/#comment-26 Lot of rubbish has been written about the bonanza for the central govt. employees.I am a recently retired cgs and so was my father but as my father warned me way back when I joined govt service is SECURED POVERTY whch is true even today except for the largesse granted by the fifth pay commission which prevented me and millions of ohers like me from sinking.People who are enamoured of a lavish style of a few of their friends and relatives should also know which department of the govt they are working and the source of their income.I still maintain that an IAS officer ,the highest paid govt. servant who joins govt service cannot buy a decent flat in a good locality in any of the metro towns today not to speak of lower cadres.A govt. servant on duty cannot think of staying in hotel or hiring a taxi on tour esp in metro cities which this pay commission has corrected.Getting some inflated salary at this juncture is no big deal as it will just cover the cost of inflation and future shocks.
